I put some pistons up in the classified for free that looked better than that and no one wanted them so I took them to the scrap yard. I would ask for some money back on that also. If not then track him down and see if they fit in his mouth

i pmed him a few times and asked abt marks that i thought i saw on the cylinders, he said no prob, that i could run them that the marks were from the cylinder sitting around. He wanted 110 shipped so from his word and the pics provided i thought it was a legit deal, he seemed like a good guy. It just frustrates me that i spent that money on crap, i sell parts all the time and try my damnedest to let the buyer know up front EXACTLY what is or is not wrong with the parts, i would think that these things were very obvious and being on a tight college budget this pisses me off that i wasted my money

Agreed. I also had a PM "conversation" with BK a few years ago after my post about Canadians screwing me on the deals. Harrison believes that all canucs are saint... LOL

Hey I copid your pics and his pics then zoomed them at a few angles, they are the same pistons. But I could find no marks on the top or sides of his pics are you sure that did't happen during shipping or brfore he packed them?

i dont know how the hell those marks would be caused by durring shipping they are definately from running in a motor, shipping wouldnt score the piston and i dont know what would take a chunck out of the top and not damage the ring that he included also, I honestly think that those pictures were taken prior to selling them to me (like when they were not ********ed up) Im honestly thinking this guy intentionally screwed me because there are scoring marks on the sides that are not evident in the pictures that he showed.... who knows, im ********ing pissed that i wasted my money on this bull********, for $110 i could have just got one new piston and fixed the topend i currently have and already had this motor running

either way, i paid for a "ready to run" cylinder and pistons and received ready to blow up pistons and cylinder

can anyone to me WHY you would buy USED pistons? thats just asking for problems, IMO.

get you money back and return his ashtrays to him. buy NEW pistions. problem solved

well ive had a few (understatement) beers and the more i think about it the more pissed i get, why in the hell would someone sell and ship crap?!?!

I bought used pistons and topend so i wouldnt have to deal with the bore and matching pistons, not to mention im on a tight budget and if someone says they have a good topend to sell me for cheaper than it would cost me for new i am all for it bc this is just a project ski that will prob not get much riding out of from me (my superjet is not gonna be replaced by a 550 conversion) i guess not all people are as honest as i would like to think they are, he still hasn't got back to me so idk what the hell is going to happen. hopefully he will just refund my money and i can find some pistons and go from there.e

I know all about being on a budget. But look at it from the standpoint of the couple bucks you save buying used pistons now, COULD cost you a whole lot more later if they were to fail. think about it, if the pistons were good, they'd still be in the motor... not up for sale.

i agree, but i have sold the top end to a motor or just the crank in good shape because i parted it out and thats all the person was interested in... i just expected the same from another seller, guess it was my own stupidity.

i just sent him another message:

"hey man,
Im not trying to *****, but after talking to others and showing the pistons, I have come to the conclusion that these pistions are not in running condition. You said that this would be a ready to run topend and it is not, I would like to just get my money back and return you your parts because they are of no use to me. I dont know where the confusion in this transaction came about but what i paid for was not what i recieved. Please get back to me

I guess that would make sense, but I would never put a motor back together with used pistons, but thats just me. I hate tearing things apart so I'd rather do it all the way once and be done with it.

I count on getting screwed when I buy something off of ebay and have been more often that not,it is a pleasant surprise when something comes in in good or better than expected condition.
