I thought this sucker was pretty bullet proof, but I am kinda dumb. It's my nice Black Powder-Coated one too...POLE LIMITING ROPE...Why can't I remember those words????? :splatt::pat:

Anyway, here it is. I rode on it the rest of the day...There is also a nice pic of Cleveland that my bro took from today at Edgewater Beach.

They are stronger than the Yami's but still weak. :stups: I yank my pole so far forward that I couldn't get it back down. It was stupid.... but the video is cool.

Yes they do. I use one anytime I ride waves now. :crying: I learned my lesson. I lost my cool Black powdercoated one and am now running a stocker

also keep in mind that the rope is only for the weight of the pole not for your weight vs. the ski. my.02

if you put a steel cable in there it might not break the cable with all your weight but it Will break somewhere else. I always thought it was just to save the pole in a throwaway or a slight amount of body weight on it. I never expected it to save the pole or bracket against all my weight.

I thought the limiting rope was to pull the "erected" poll down in order to get back on when you fall off:eek:uch: My blowsion spring works that good :bow28:

Had the UMI limiting rope on mine in Daytona, went over the handlebars stabbing bottom and sheared the stainless steel hook that hooks to to the pole. Luckily it didn't really break anything else. We'll except the nose a little.
