Never had regular hose clamps come loose.
Of course, they never sit more than one season before I pull them for one reason or another.

I have used unmodified Crecent end nippers to secure them as previously menioned, they come out pretty uniform. I guess putting a blunt edge on the anvil (flat) jaw of the nipper would work very well for install.

I know I'm bumping an old thread but I came across this looking for which size oetiker clamp I need for the cooling lines.

Why are you guys fighting so much to get these off? or debating which is better, oetiker or worm? It works great to use both. Put the oetiker on the manifold barb, and a worm clamp on the bulk head line. Oetiker under the FPP pipe and a worm on the head.

All my stuff is set up like that now. I switched because I had a worm clamp come off my barb on my manifold and I couldn't access it. Caused a lot of frustration that day. Hard spots wont come loose, but I can still get the worms off quick and easy when I need to do something with my motor.

Just trying to find the size because I was told it's the 15.7mm but I think the 17mm is the correct one.

The cutting end of these? They work great unless you cant easily get to it.

I thought I was the only one using the klein crimper to cut the clamps off, they work awesome to cut the band in a fraction of a second,it prob breaks every rule of how klein intended them to be used, but I wouldn't think of using anything else when I need to take them off. (Does need to be cut a specific way though)
