Dasa kawasaki power vaulve kit

I talked to the watercraft sales guy from DASA a few days ago. I asked him about the reliabilty of the kawi cylinder kit and how theirs compairs to the x-metal im just wondering if anybody already has the kit and how satisfied they are and if x-metal makes anything for kawi as far as power vaulve. Also how much more powerful would the dasa power vaulve kit with a factory wet pipe and a jetnetics flywheel compaired to a sxr 800 with the same mods

this was something i was considering for her ski, versus porting stock cylinder or big bore option
i'd prefer a non-powervalve set up, since high rpms are not our concern
the draw back is the price
but then again when you start porting your current setup or going big bore, what's a few more $$'s ($$ per output starts coming into play)
i can comment on the power of the RD lamey cyl that i run on my SJ. they are really nice

this may be an option we look at later down the road

basically the salesman said that dasa has been building engines for 16 yrs and the others are copies of his work he said they have been running the kawi version for a year and no problems but he also said it depends how hard you push the setup like any other engine. so i imagine if you dont try to go to wild with porting and compression, everything will be good he also said make sure you put quality parts on the engine. FRANKEN SKI IS NOT GUNNA LAST. meaning dont mismatch parts dont put used parts that you want to fit on the engine. he said a stock crank offers less vibration then hotrods crank. I broke the kit down and added up individual parts. what it would cost to bore and port an sxr motor to similar specs if you are starting from a stock new sxr cylinder i had a sxi so no sxr cylinder and then add in the cost of power vaulves it wasnt much more expensive

I just wanna know if its rip you arms off fast or if it feels like a sxr with rad flywheel and factory pipe.

Quality advice for any ski right there. I had to learn this the hard way, a couple of times.

i figured that it would be a travisty and just plain wrong to spend 2800 on an engine and keep the oem flywheel and stock exhost to anybody who knows i know powervaulves are on seadoo engines i know they work by vacume and they give you more power but who else do they do and why do you get more power with power valves btw a euro company makes a big bore cylinder for kawi last time i looked it was in the 900 to 1000 cc range but it requires a lot of case mods and its super expensive the websight is www.sx-r.com

The PV's constantly change the port timing giving you the maximum available horse power at any RPM range.

You want low exaust ports for bottom end and high ports for top end. With the PV, you get both.
