maybe most of you guy's already figured this out but I hate the fact that after you drop the batt. bolt in the bilge because the batt. bolt is not long enough when you put the cable on it is frustrating a 1/4" fuel line will cure this problem

Yeah I always steal the good nuts out of the old batteries,the thin nuts in the new batteries are damn useless.

yeah I have done the same thing of course I also bought a expensive oddessey battery and the stud's twist off inside anyway thought I would share this idea with everyone.

You know thats damn strange I have an Odyessy here I have swapped out probably 100 times so far and the posts are still haning in there like a loose tooth!:ugh2:

I like it. I have been doing something similar for years. I then go another step farther and put a zip tie around the post. That assures me that the inner bolt wont slide around.
