DAG's 2010 Black Betty Build

If that's the case I'm just going to heat shrink the little shiits the guns are quite expensive...

I have a weatherpack tool, I think bought it off ebay for under $30. Thats really not expensive for a specialty tool IMO.

Your lucky you have garage space. I cant work on my ski now because of the stupid snow.

yeah, rommie wrecked his car so i get the entire garage to myself for the next few weeks; it made for great timing on his part. lol

I went to walmart to the arts and crafts section and found some fabric spray, they have a few types, i got the cheapest. Its to help the cloth hold its form. I sprayed before cutting and let the spray overhang my cut line by an inch on each side. Spray and let dry completely and cut.

ok well youll beat me definatly! what are you doing about paint? Are you gona spray paint it? Ill have to start to think about paint soon. I dont have a compressor big enough for a gun, so I cant paint it myself unless I know someone with a booth\gun\compressor.

I've been told the local community here will spray it if i supply the paint... other wise Im going to go low budget and rattle can it in appliance epoxy black. Turf i would like to do green rails and black tray but it depends on the the route I take with the paint. just need to work through some things

slow cure is better anyway. much stronger than 24 hr. Just wait a week and get back to it lol.

looks like you are making some progress though.

can you pm me something about who will be painting it once the time comes if you go that route? I can prep and everything I just dont have the skills\equipment to paint and a free paint job (minus the paint cost) would be great.

it really does take 7 days to get solid. I left mine about 10-14 before i touched it. Well i tested a couple times just for giggles on day 4-7 and it was almost the same consistency as it was when it came out of the tube. so 10-14 days before working on it and jamming foam around it.

Onto the foot holds and man are these things nice. Just what i was looking for in a hold. Big to allow 25mm padding, with a good forward ankle angle and simi-enclosed at the toe. Just wish it had better "fit" to the hull.

Decided to move them as far forward as the exhaust would allow.

One things for sure, If i have wet foam, its not going to be from leakage around the holds. I think i overkilled it, but rather be safe than sorry. I just hope I never need to take them back out.

Once dry, I'm going to do another weigh in
