11 hrs for me each way, from Charleston, SC to Huntsville, AL. I hauled back a second ski to deliver to a fellow member at the same time. It was fun and entertaining at the same time.

Pics from the trip...

I did this for a hull, it wasn't even a full ski.

The next trip I did was to fly 3200 miles home to Canada to bring my 3 skis back down to South Carolina. I made a stop on the way back and even sold off one of the skis in Edmonton.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I drove 6 hours one way to pick up my SJ and thought I was a little crazy for doing so. Not no mo!

Went non-stop ND to California. Hauled a 4 Wheeler down, and brought the SJ back. Left Friday evening of Labor Day weekend 08, and got back Tuesday AM. We got hailed on in AZ, Ski got snowed on in Utah. It was a great time. 29hrs each way.

A 99 Rn in Ocean City NJ........24 hour round trip non stop......peanuts compared to you guys ^^ Jeesh Matt E.!

What can I say, it was a good deal. So good, in fact, that I thought it was a scam.
This was in 2005. I got a 2001 stock SJ, a 2002 Ultra 150, and a 2000 GP760 for $8,200.
I sold the Ultra and the GP for $8,400.
Figuring in the travel cost and cost for some replacement parts so I could sell the couches, I got the SJ for about $800.
And it was hell of a road trip. I enjoyed it immensely, but probably wouldn't do it again.
Left Eastern Washington on early Friday morning and drove to Cheyenne, Wyoming that day. 1,000 miles.
Saturday, drove to Chicago, another ~1,100 miles.
Sunday, spent the day sight-seeing in Chicago and trying not to get robbed.
Picked up the skis just outside Chicago on Sunday evening and left.
Drove 2,100 miles home without rest. 31 hours. Back home Monday night at midnight.
A four cylinder Ford Ranger does not pull three skis very well over the 10,000 ft continental divide in Wyoming.

I threw it together for the trip but have been using it ever since. Cost me $40 to build. It's been a good system that allows me to put my TBM tote, folding chairs and everything else under the skis. I am currently making some improvements to the system including a 4 pulley snatchblock system that allows me to stay on the ground and pull the skis up with one arm. Way too nice a feature at the end of a long weekend of riding.

I have designed a better setup which is close to being built that is all aluminum and will hold two skis on top of the bed leaving the full box available with the tailgate closed. It will have tilting ski racks/slides with a winch or snatchblock loading system.

Scott's 785 Pro - 11 hours each way to St. Louis. We also picked up an easy fixer SL750. Made enough profit on it to pay for the trip.

Best road trip ever was in ~2000. Todd (ATS_Scott's twin brother) and I flew to Portland, Oregon (on a Tuesday) to pick up a Turbo Celica All-Trac (rare car) that was blown up. We swapped engines in a friends garage. We left Portland at 11:59 Thursday night (with the disassembled blown up engine in the trunk/hatchback). We drove to Colorado (22 hours) and stayed with some friends. We watched the Pikes Peak Hill Climb race that Saturday and then drove the remaining 15 hours back to Texas.

Scott and I made a 22 hour (each way) trip to Orlando this spring, but somehow the 2007 Tundra was less fun than the old turbo Celica we had just assembled.
