Crank it for a few seconds and see if the starter cables are getting hot (one from the battery and one from the e-box). If so then I would check the cables first. Otherwise this could start getting expensive....
The way to find the problem is by using a multimeter and doing a voltage drop test, I would try to explain this but this link does a much better job of it than I ever could. Basically you check voltage drop between every wire and wire connector till you find what component is causing an abnormal current draw, its probably your starter if you can freely turn the engine over by hand with the spark plugs removed.
