I am curious if anyone has run into this..... Motor was rebuilt by a reputable builder. Motor was broken in Correctly, and run at most 15 hours and runs great still. When we took the flywheel cover off to replace with a new billet cover we discovered that the front crank seal, is leaking and pored out maybe 2 cap fulls or less of 2 stroke oil. How many of you have had this problem in a new motor?, and I know some oil residue is normal but how much is too much. (I was told by the builder that it is safe to run and some oil leakage is acceptable. That the flywheel cover is sealed so an air leak is most likely impossible through that area fyi). Explanation was, if its sealing water out its not allowing air in.
Run it this upcoming season and replace seals in winter or? Thoughts.
Thanks.
