Crank doesnt quite seat right...

Im finally about to start rebuilding my 61x but after test fitting the crank it doesnt seem to seat right. It took a few tries but i finally got all the pins lined up with the bearings and dropped the crank into place but it rocks a little bit like the center bearing is a little too big. Will this be an issue or will it be ok once i bolt the cases together? It doesnt rock a whole lot but you can tell it has movement to it.

should be absolutely flat .no rocking allowed.try spinning it to a different position and check again.clean the dowel holes out and check their lenghts.

Use your cylinder upside down as a engine stand, set the top case on it, then lay in the crank with seals on and line up the pins. Use a plastic mallet and tap down all the main bearings and the center lab seal then it should not rock in the case, if it does check to make sure the case bearing pins aren't too long and don't hit in the bearing holes.

here is a video showing how it moves. Its very hard to tell (especially on an iphone video) but there is definite movement. It barely moves at all but it is quite obvious that the center bearing is too big. All he others are able to move (slightly because of the pins) except the center because of hiw tight the fit is. Will i be ok to bolt it in like it is now or is there something i can do?

edit: since im not getting much feedback i decided to bolt the cases together just as a test fit. Then rocking of the crank went away completly but the crank does not spin as it should. It spins freely for 180 degrees and then encounters resistance for the rest of the spin. Ive tried putting a drop of grease on a few places to try and figure out where its rubbing (or if its rubbing) but i have had no luck. Has anyone else had similar problems? if so, how did you fix them?

According to your vid something still isn't right. Remember your motor spins at 7000rpm+, if it isn't perfect then somethings not right. Keep searching.

Have you measured the pins and the blind holes they engage to make sure they aren't bottoming out. If you have no way to measure, can you pull your locating pins out and see if you can get the crank sit correctly in the cases without them?

I sat my oem crank into place it with some light tapping it doesnt rock at all but due to the seized rod bearing i cant bolt up the cases and see if it encounters the same resistance.

I just called SBT and they said something is probably up with the crank and that they will take it back and take a look at it. I just gotta make a few calls and se how thats gonna work since i bought it from a member here who bought it from a shop.
