Today finished grinding on the inside, and cut the pole 2-1/8 inches. Found some cracks and old hull repairs, ground off 5 pounds of paint and resin I think. Ran my pole base into the blast cabinet and took of all the corrosion and coating, ready for some etching primer and some kind of paint before glueing it back together.:thewave: Current weight at 96 pounds.

Looks good! You were right when you said it only took a pea sized drop of pigment in the resin. I really like the black!

Trying to do a little each day, filled the rear bond line with thickened epoxy and filler, with wet bond strip of 1208 just to join the top and bottom forever. Not really worried about full width glass in there, as Im using 4 pound foam and its very strong, you can't push your finger into it like the stock crap. Did cut most of the tray out to seal everything up.:Banane35:
