Cortisone in the shoulder kinda sucks

So I went to the doc today he said I have a small tear in my right rotator cuff, he gave me two cortisone shots. The damn thing hurts more now than it did before the shots! Anyone ever have this done before and is it normal for it to be soo damn sore?

yup it sucks. it should feel better in 24hrs or so. ive never had one in the shoulder before but i would assume its the same all over.

Really didn't help me at all long term....

I have got quite a few. It does stay sore for a day or two. But after that it really helped. I was pain free for about 7 or 8 months afterwards. You can only get so many...unfortunatly i have reached my max.

I've never had long term fixes from them either. I've herd some people do...

I have had a couple of cortizone shots in my knee, and everytime I had one, the shot hurt like an absolute bitch, but after (like 4-5 hours after) I would feel so good it was bizarre, almost slightly high.....cant really compare the feeling to anything, but I would feel like that for about 24 hours after....I do rememeber the injection site hurting a littel after.
