Corey's Roundnose summer build

There is no title needed unless it was previously titled. Tell him BS, but I guess its too late now. I notarized the Bill of Sale for you and everything, it is legit. Billy or Gayle at CS will tell you the same thing, its standard procedure.

That being said, what all have you sold off it. I have a buyer interested in it for $1500 with a stock 701 and footholds, just the way it "is". Call me and we can see whats up.

Getting to the fun stuff...well kinda. I started to take on the task of shortening the pole. I began by mearsuring out my distance that i was gonna cut off. I put the tape there for a straight line though i didnt need it that high up :dunno:
Decided to go with -4 because my square pole was like that. I used a hack saw to indent a little groove so the blade of the saw-zall wouldnt go all over the place.(Apparently they still do:banghead:)

I then used the sawzall to cut the pole, both at the 4 inch mark and down by the bracket so it would be easier to clean out the bracket. Once cut I dug out all the styrofoam.

Yesterday i started de-foaming which blows. I figured well its a 96 so i should prolly dig all the foam out while im doing all this other stuff. Well to my suprise there was not a drop of wet foam! I pulled out the exhuast tube too while refoaming because im gonna try to figure out how to mount it out the side in the back and not straight out the back. Im gonna be ordering my footholds and scupper(s) soon so that should be next on the list along with reinforcement.

Alright, after 2 months this build is back on track.:pat: Stopped working on it for a while and then decided that it needed to be done for daytona so i can the cherry buster:splatt:.

What i have done so far as of now...
-Tray was finally defoamed
-Scupper was installed
-Reinforced
-Footholds installed

Im in the process now of doing a couple of things..
1.) Putting the tray back together so i can refoam.
2.) Working on my superman handhold which is just about done
3.) Sanding this nasty biatch so i can throw on some new paint.

Im debating wether to lower the stock hood or just wait and buy a good one. Not sure yet.

Pics of updates to come tonight.

I would look for a lowered hood before trying to building one...

True. I built one for the square (well didn't build one, but lowered, slutty lined, reinforced) and it was a long process. Now that I have done it I am going to do it again and it will take 50% less time and filler, plus a cleaner overall product.

I would finish the whole boat and than start on the hood. Just save paint for the hood to match. Don't leave it and have to throw together the hood last second. It will turn out brutal.

I began to put the tray back together to together today. I glassed one side so far and may do the others later.

I also had glass layed up in my superman handhold but i went out today to do a little sanding and noticed some raised areas...WELL apparently the glass decided it wasnt gonna stick(proably something i did.) so i spent an hour ripping it all out which screwed up all the foam and such which i used to shape it.
