Congrats To Eric Malone

I am a little disapointed that he didnt do anything new this year. Where is the innovation, the new tricks? We have seen Malone pulling all of these tricks for a few years now. That boat is capable of even more. IMO

According to one of my friends who saw him ride at Pitt. this summer... He said that the vid of him winning the event is nothing compared to what he saw earlier this year. He's unsure why but he knows for a fact that Eric is capable of much more.

anyone else notice that malones pump looks like its set way back in the hull??? It looks like there is a scoop where the Pump shoe whould be then the pump shoe is back in the middle of where the stator would be. That 3rd landing on that bf was unreal. The whole routine was just sick. I can't imagine what he pulls off in practice.

When he retires its going to be a huge blow to the sport, God only knows when there will be another rider that will even shadow him.
It will be like replacing MJ

I disagree. Lee Stone will beat Malone in a few years IMO. It's amazing what he can do at his age.
Malone is a great rider, but i honestly believe that Stone can grow even better.

Malone will be on top for a while but it will be interesting to see everyone trying to beat him. This sport is a blend of the talent and machine, and Malone is on some of the best equipment out there.......I can't wait to see Stone compete and he will be one of the greats but keep in mind Malone invented like 90% of the tricks out there. If Stone or anyone else is as innovative he will probably beat Malone.

Yeha I think He is saving his good tricks for when he NEEDS them. Either way it was an amazing run.

Actually, that's always one of my biggest disappointments when I see him ride at the Nationals: he does just enough to win. He knows he can, so why bring out the A-game unless yo have to? Well, to keep people interested in the sport for one thing. It's always disapoointing to see his world finals run from 2 years ago recycled at each national championship....

Who said I was just talking about malone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He and some of the others are doing what sells............ but that just it........ catering to the Masses................ I know, same arguements from last year still stand..........for any of you who were not around 10 years ago, freestyle has changed....... It use to be a show where you rarely saw the same trick twice in a routine............ How many Rolls did Ant pull in Pro Freestyle ? hmmmmmmmm 4, but what else did he do? How many different tricks did Malone do? 4 (Roll, Back Flip, Twist and Ghost Ride) and had repetitive........ Why not just change the whole format to a sickest trick contest........ cause, that is basically what is being done now.

I think he did just enough to win, he always seems to be 1 step ahead of the game, last year was single backflips, the japs came this year with doubles. Malone triple.
He could possibly do 4 flips, but why use that this year, wait till the others catch up, then bring the other stuff out.

I notice you never see many video or pics of malone on the net, where as you see Lenzi, stone, and the japs all the time. He knows what level these riders are at and goes 1 farther. They don't know where he is at.

As far as the comment about 'lenzi getting it next year' personally I don't think so.
1. You have to be in it to win it. Not at home sulking
2. I don't think he has had a good 2 minute routine at WF, he always make mistakes, and the routines are not smooth.
3. You have to be in it to win it

Where are the vids of Stoyer and P-diddy's runs? Didn't someone say that they were going to post them yesterday?
