I thought it was $30k? Either way, no doubt it's nice, but I wouldn't blow that kind of money on a ski when I could have a BMW M3 for that price.

The rep said "guess", so i said 30k, he then points up up at the sky, I said 40k? He points up again and says "actually its $42,000 for 1000 EME Replica that he is riding today"(Sunday). Maybe its the 800 that is 30K. I should of asked him.

For that kind of $$$$$ I say pro freestyle is overrated, who has the $ to compete with that????? He is a Bad arse rider, but I bet if some of the riders on this forum had his boat they could pull some amazing shiet as well...... not me.
I don't think so. Equipment doesn't make the trick - I see that whenever I upgraded my boat.
It's easy for folks to say "I can do that, if I had that power!"

The reality is.....a back-to-back-to-back BF is NOT possible without the power. But it doesn't mean that it IS possible with the power.
Anyone who's ever done a backflip in their life, flat water or not, should have a very high level of respect for pulling the 3xBF. The first to flips have to be almost perfectly timed to be able to manage two more.

^^^^I here ya for sure, but its not just the 215hp, its also 30lbs less weight then stock, and his motors, and pumps are heavier then a 701, 144 pump setup. If you take that in consideration, you could build a 250lb boat, no problem.

I am not trying to take any credit away from Malone, he is without a doubt the best rider in the World! I am just saying he is also on the best equipment in the World as well.

Hey Guys !
Just pulled in the driveway from 'Havasu ! . . . OMG ! . . . what a great time !
Freestyle was awesome for sure . . . Malone's ski is incredible, 1000+cc's and snaps so hard off the bottom I can't believe he can even hold onto the damn thing ! I don't no for sure what it weighs in at but when they pick it up to put it on the stand it looks like it takes about the same effot as moving a stock Superjet hull . . . . . WITH NO MOTOR IN IT !
I think the part I enjoyed the most about WF's though was that they ran the final races for the 10-12 yr olds and the 13-15yr olds SKI classes on Sunday (Pro Day) These kids are unbelievably fast ski racers !
There's one kid in the 10 - 12 yr old class named Jason McMillian that they call "Mini Mac" this kid rides like Mac or Motz out there on the track ! He ran away with every race on his Hydrospace. I heard someone say his lap tims were only 3-4 seconds slower than MacCluggages . . . . . . on a stock Hydrospace ! These "youngsters" are the future of the sport and were showcased in front of the World Finals crowd !
