Anyone ever done this?

Would an al or ss bracket with turf mounted to the head or front cover work and dampen vibrations? I know they used to make fuel pump brackets like that for the remote pumps...............

I built an aluminum bracket for my coils, mounted them to the ignition cover in front of the cylinder. It has been working fine so far. They are not any safer from vibration than they were on the firewall, but at least they are not right against the MSD.
