I guess Chris busted his lower leg up pretty bad based on what I read at jetskinews.com

Get well Chris.

Is everyone ok with x-h2o sending him some flowers/balloons/something?

Looks like he is out for the season, and to think, he was going to get paid next weekend for a freestyle halftime show.

Moon, I think its still unclear. I have a call into him, but he is at Harborview Hospital in Seattle. The U of W medical center decided they wanted to send him there, they are the best. If I get some clarification, I will post it. Jeff

Snapped the tibia and fibula in two.

I wonder if he came out of his footholds.
If it was an issue with the footholds, it wouldn't surprise me. When I tried his boat out this spring, they hit me right above the ankle and it didn't feel too good. He has had those on for a long time, and is completely comfortable with them. I will try and get more info as it becomes availiable.

That's a great idea..... Thanks for thinking of it Darrin!
Better yet, he needs a new pole pad cover, he has been riding around with just the plastic...lol.

Folllow up, he was on his ski for sure, and not his motorcycle. They were practicing for an event for next weekend. Lets all hope the surgery goes well, we need someone to lead us to the mud runs in the river...lol.

Update, I talked with his wife Melissa this morning, he is in surgery right now. The outlook at this time looks like probably 6 months before he can be walking around. He apparently landed a huge boat wake jump and was about 15 feet in the air and landed clean. His bones shattered from the impact alone, and had nothing to do with footholds or twisting. He should be home by the weekend, and will have pins holding his leg together outside the skin. It sounded like the smaller bone broke clean, but the larger one broke in about 4 places. I thank god that Jason was there and able to get him back to his boat and back to shore before going into shock. We need to stay positive, and encourage Chris to stay involved in the sport in any way possible. He is one of the most passionate guy's I have met when it comes to jetskiing in general. Get well soon.
