Update, I talked with his wife Melissa this morning, he is in surgery right now. The outlook at this time looks like probably 6 months before he can be walking around. He apparently landed a huge boat wake jump and was about 15 feet in the air and landed clean. His bones shattered from the impact alone, and had nothing to do with footholds or twisting. He should be home by the weekend, and will have pins holding his leg together outside the skin. It sounded like the smaller bone broke clean, but the larger one broke in about 4 places. I thank god that Jason was there and able to get him back to his boat and back to shore before going into shock. We need to stay positive, and encourage Chris to stay involved in the sport in any way possible. He is one of the most passionate guy's I have met when it comes to jetskiing in general. Get well soon.
