well I have only ridden mine a handfull of times, it rides like brick! its way rich and I haven't gotten around to putting a single mikuni on it. been helping everyone else get theirs together. so finishing touches to my sj and x-2 tonite. leave in the am. its cobbled together but functional, needs to be leaner for some power but I will be taking it out for sure. its only gonna take about a minute to get water ingested with me on but you never know.

after seeing pete and d-slicker last year I just knew I had to have one.

I'll be happy to help get it dialed in, mine runs like a raped ape now.:Banane09:

IMHO. I just feel that the handle pole has limited/stalled progression of are sport. (AS FAR AS SURF GOES)

I have gone alot further with the hull on my conversion then just making it fixed steer.<--- Once I build another hood/steering, I will have plenty of pics, and hopefully some vid to go with it.... Until then it is a mystery, cant have anyone jumping the gun on me.

Before I lost my hood going down the interstate I weighed in at 255lbs at the Legdrag Head quarters. :woot:

I rode one in Havasu the year Maros came out with it. In fact it was probably Reed's hood that I rode (WOW, I just thought of that - it was a white hood if I remember right). It was on Chris's personal ski. I really liked it, but felt it was better suited for surf, aside from carving wicked aggressive turns due to the riding position and leverage from the fixed bars.

Can't wait to try one in the surf this weekend! :fingersx:

damn you're good Neil! That year at WF was... 2003 and it was Chris' CF Hood (the exact same one I now have)....I have pix's that Chris has sent me of it there. He's also provided me with some other pretty cool pictures (some of Tim's and or Butti's ski/ hood as well.). I was planning to share those and some history/ fact stuff Chris has shared with me on here sometime after Daytona. I told him about this build and plan on emailing him the link afterwards.

Well don't worry guys after me and Neil demo'd it - its nice and broke in now- I sucked on it, and everyone else made it look really sweet in the surf.

so Neil how was it? Cracker- any light you guys can shed for peeps on how it does as a surf ski? granted it had some minor issues but was at least a running ski.

Wahoo1 did you get any pics of them tearing it up???? where are they???

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT IN THE SURF!!! Unfortunately for Reed, I loved it soo much that I got cocky and a little too confident and ended up stabbing bottom on a lip-slash gone wrong. :dead1:

Sorry again Reed for breaking your "new" ski :frown:. Thanks again for letting me rip it up! And thanks to Tom for fixing my carnage!

And I know Reed has some pics of me riding it.... cant wait to see them

I want one now! In those small choppy surf conditions it was so much fun. To me it was like riding a BMX bike or a small MX bike. Very agile and felt light and easy to control. Rides best in Surf stance - so easy to flick around on the waves... bunnyhop over the whitewater... doubling small sets... so much fun! thanks again!

Right on Neil... you ripped it up! Thanks for the input as well. All I recall after your first ride was you repeating... "I WANT ONE!" I'll be throwing up some pix's I got at the Daytona ride as well. Hopefully Tim and Scott have better ones. Neil (RMBC Freeride) Tarrick (SP?) from NJ, Bronson (FL Cracker) and lastly Mark (Wavejunkey) all got the chance to slash it. Dion also rode it at the ride and almost everyone else in the Tampa crew has already whored it as well, if not... have already rode Tim's conversion ski.

here's some of Neil....
