you can get almost any color in marine grade vinyl and do some shaping to the foam under it and make a cool design and cover it with the vinyl.

Or get some underpadding from HT (or similar) and cut it to the shape then glue it to the pad and cover over it. Easier than carving the existing pad.

I'd also say consider marine grade vinyl. Take a look at the colors and designs that they do on offshore race boats for some ideas.

Heres a different idea, I suppose it would work the same on a chinpad....great idea for getting the wifey on a ski!

sorry - that is what I meant. stock pad is made of f'n sponge!!!!!! holds approximately 15 gallons of water!

I think Im gonna go to the butcher and get some fresh pigskin, and stitch it together with some catgut. Guarantee you ride around with that on your pole couchers wont come near you. Ed Gein signature series pole pad.
