Chin Pad Cover

Anyone ever use neoprene? I was thinking of cutting up an old wetsuit and giving it a try.
Bare plastic stocker right now.

Great idea but i would use something for padding. Just a bit, maybe a couple of layers.
How are you going to make the surface even?

If you had ever seen my ski, you would know that I'm not overly concerned with cosmetics! (to say the least). I was just gonna contact cement it on there and I get what I get! Bumps, ripples and all.
Honestly, how often have you actually hit your chin, or anything else, on the chinpad?

Cool. I didn't want to order a whole sheet for a chinpad.
Still, what do ya think of the wetsuit thing?

it'll work.....if its free, try it...you can always rip it off and returf it..


just make sure its not a "warmed wetsuit" chinpad cover

All of my wetsuits have been "warmed" at one time or another.

Just covered it with b-stock. Looks good from the top.......had some 1st timer issues, alot of heat.

I streatched a wetsuit over it 1st. It could work, but you would have to put something under it. Shows every groove and ripple in the plastic.

Good to go for now though! Thanx John! (for the scrap of b-stock)

I've always found the stock chin pad real difficult to stick to, even when its roughed up
