Can someone explain the pros and cons in deleting the rev-limiter?

this may be a newbie question - but i am trying to understand the pros and cons on deleting the rev limiter. Whats the benefit in taking a stock cdi and eliminating the rev limiter?

Well maybe letting newbs ride will be a little more dangerous.

They could potentially blow your motor I guess.

Chance of over revving motor.

Benefit, grab those extra RPM's that are avliable to you, but you've never used before.

nothing bad about it unless holding it wide open for a long time as long as you brap it everything is better

I don't think a wet pipe will let your motor rev high enough to blow up.

Don't delete it, just make it adjustable and set it at a higher but still safe limit.

thanks for the input.... here is my CDI that came with the ski i bought - i am guessing they eliminated the Rev Limiter... the ski used to be a race ski!
