CA SF bay, any places to unload jets there??

i keep thinking about going to the beach in the bay area, but i dont have a slightest clue where you can drive the truck to the water and unload the ski, or do most just park somewhere then use a sand dolly and pulle over to teh water, and is that even legal? i dont wanna get busted after my experience at folsom

cant really ride any beaches in nor*cal. i live in hayward. only place we can ride besides the delta and lakes is the bay. if you want some wakes to jump, drive to 5th ave in oakland and launch out of the jack london launch ramp. forgot the name of the marina. its free to launch and if you ride right outta the cove to the right you will be riding through the estuary that the big freighters come in through. which means gigantic tug boat wakes. if you want you can even ride out into the bay to a giants game or something but on a stand up its almost always stupid choppy and you would never have enough gas lol. but the estuary is fun. i watched 2ride attempt his first backflip off of one of those tugboat wakes. that was a huge mistake because he got halfway and his ski stopped flipping and landed with his ski upsidown. but as far as i know you cant launch a ski anywhere off the coast. gotta go down to pismo.

Team510 is right. Not any place there to beach launch anymore. I took a ride out to Alcatraz once, choppy as hell. An early morning start is your best bet. There is a decent break on the south side under the Golden Gate. I only payed there for a few min cause of gas. Dunno if its legal there though.

lbe im not 100% sure but i dont think its legal under the GG anymore! your just gonna have to go to pismo! i think their are some sac guys that ride fx-1s that hit pismo alot!

seriously. those tugboats throw a mean roller. they dont break like an ocean wave, they just kinda come at you rollin 6 feet high, and then you see the backside thats 12 feet below you. the pilot boats are cool too. they throw the sharpest wake but they go like 50mph so you hit them once and you land and they are gone.

If you're looking to ride ocean, then come join us in Pismo, I go almost every weekend, and sometimes on the week days too...If interested, shoot me a PM. A bunch of us are ridding down there next weekend. Oh! almost forgot, I will be ridding the bay this Sunday. Let me know if you want to ride...

i think you can still launch at coyote point just before the sfo airport off highway 101, and pete's harbor in redwood city off the 101 at the woodside road exit east.

give slammin sam a p/m.
he works right there in redwood city and would know whats up.

as for ocean waves, i launched at princeton harbor north of half moon bay on highway 1, but that was over 6 years ago.

these a smooth harbor (5mph ???) to the breakwater exit, then "BIG" waves are waiting for you there.
they still might have the jetski only area posted, but remember thats a big ocean out there.
what they dont know wont hurt them, unless you break down, or get stuck in the breakwater.

You can launch in RWC harbor but you won't find much surf there.
I used to launch from Princeton Harbor in HMB. They put a stop to that in 1996. I remember cause i bought a brand new ski in 96 and got busted twice within the first couple months ridding there. I would not risk it.
I remember beach launching right there from like 91-93. There would be like 8-10 guys regularly ridding there. I'll see if I can dig up some pics.
