my big things are wish list

-water temp above 60 degrees for at least half the year
-prices cant be over 300k
-river/lake or water access a must--closer the better
-jobs- area to have jobs or jobs within 50miles.
-allows jet skis/2 strokes
-easy going cops.

atascadero is in the process of expansion so theres lots of new houses. that makes the cost of old houses go down.

I moved from Your area to North Carolina last year, the water is hot compared to San Diego (In the Ocean) So its awesome to be in, in my opinion, I live on the coast there is lots of access and lots NICE beaches with little people around so lots of places to ride, but the surf isnt as big. I bought a one year old 3 bedroom house for under 150000, But the jobs dont pay much around here, depending on what you do... Im in the military so that doesnt matter for me, But honestly I miss San Diego and would almost trade my nice big house for another 2 bedroom apt in Socal.... I dont know. I wasnt into PWC's when I was in San Diego so maybe this is a better area as far as riding, What are they doing with 2 strokes out there, I thought you just couldnt buy them, are there restrictions where you ride???
No restrictions here in NC. Military is talking about sending me back to San Diego, thats why Im curious, if so I'll give you a good deal on a house out here :)

How far outside of Cali?

On the eastern side of the country, the further north you go the higher the wages and cost of living goes up also.

I lived in Charleston SC and loved it, I'd move there in a heartbeat plus it's a booming area now that the Navy shipyard/base closed in the late 90's. Beautiful area, nice people, great seafood, tons of water to ride in, great weather too.

Nashville is a killer place to live! LOTS of opportunity!

I have 2 houses for sale that are NEW! I have them priced to sell at $219,950! They have 3 bedrooms 2 1/2 bath, HUGE bonus room, BIG 2 car side entry garage, 60\40 mix agg. concrete drive, 2 AC units, gas to fireplace, bar in the kitchen, 2 walk in closets in the master bath, garden tub, and it's sitting on almost and acre lot!

I WILL BUY THE INTREST RATE DOWN TO 5.5 PERCENT!

LAUNCH RAMP IS RIGHT DOWN THE STREET ALONG WITH A MARKET ACROSS THE STREET!

2 local lakes.....One of them is where APBA Nationals is held.

It's prolly about 17-19 or so miles from downtown Nashville.

I can post pics tomorrow and send you a link to the listing.

I had the same thought, where could I go to buy a house under $500k (median house price in So Cal) and still have nice weather.
Arizona seems nice. But I couldn't leave Cali. I'd rather live in a small apt here than a mansion anywhere else, No offense to anyone.
I love it here!
Sorry Superjet2006, you should go, 1 less car on the road around here!

I in no way mean that to sound mean. Say it with a chuckel.

Fewer hicks?

Have you been to Florida lately?
yep, drive from tampa to daytona. people score much lower on the hick meter than anywhere between florida and the mason dixon line. it's a fact! Pleanty of florida crackers, but thats a good thing.
