More Pics. Last time it broke on the weld.

I will never buy a $1000 dollar pole (too pricey). Probably an AC or an X Metal if this one goes. NOBODY I know has ever broken one of these, have they??? My ONLY concern is strength (and I want a -2).

No one has broken a 3rd gen X-metal pole (or 4th gen for that matter - that's the thinner, lighter one).

I have an ACR that is of the double bend type. It has been hyper-extended doing a King Kong hard enough to rip the crown out of my SJ, twice. When learning to do backflips it landed upside down from 15 feet or more many times. I have landed on the side learning to do barrell rolls for a good 3 years. It has dented and even twisted. I just recently cut and shortened it 2 inches. NEVER 1 TIME has it broken! Today it is ugly and beat up, but it is absolutely the most reliable part of this or any other SJ I have ever owned. I've had this pole since 1997 and put it on 4 different hulls.

All that said...now I run an XMW pole. It is sexier and Pat is an enthusiast building the highest quality products. I support him and he supports us with a "Factory Pipe" type warranty. GREAT STUFF !!

Oh..........he did not specify a time frame :haha: I know Jeff has them now. It is just a matter of getting it to your door.

I just make the suggestion b/c this is pole #2 that has busted.

What is the profile on that pole? Same as XMetal? Thin wise? Both are horney looking adn I'm sure are strong.
