thats awesome..

more than likely like most dealerships around here.. it was put in inventory and never sold.

and the dealer wouldnt budge on the price paid. so there it sat.

would be cool to have something that mint.

He also said 2 stroke standups are illegal in New York, is this true?

yes... you cannot purchase a brand new two stroke for the past two years or so in NY or CA. no 2 stroke dirtbikes, quads, jetskiis. you can however buy a two stroke weedwacker though.

we have to go to jersey, or conneticut or mass to buy a 2 stroke then register it here.

it is not illegal to ride or register one but you cannot purchase them here.

give it a few more years till the tree hugging hippies take over. they shouldn't need free healthcare by then since they will be breathing cleaner air without any two strokes.

Man even the manuals are perfectly white.

I think the weedwackers, chainsaws, tillers, etc. fall under occasional or intermittent use and therefore bound by different regulations. I still think it's a crock of sh*t thuogh especially since global warming is BS and last I heard, the holes in the ozone layer are closing.

Noooooooooo.....

Say it ain't so....

You mean the government won't be able to tax the people more under the guise of "protecting" them?

In 2000 my first ski was an 87, 550, brand new. All original docs, B.O.Sale etc. He'd bought it and then scored an o/seas job and winterised it. He'd only ever started it in his plunge pool. He came back 13 years later and figured he was too old to ride it.

Kinda wish I'd never touched it. If I were not 20 million miles away I'd jump at that. Nothing like a piece of history.

This must happen alot there was just similar story about an original 440 not sure the year what ever was the first year for them found it in a crate in the warehouse... Sold it to a dealer... I think it was in Olklahoma or Iowa

that would be great for someone's collection "conversational peice" for the living room maybe?

The dealer has it on display with some other "Brand-New" old school items...
