i am about to get ready and take out my frshly built ski and break it in

over the winter i seem to have gotten forgetful in my old age
what is the mix ratio oil to gas, 60:1?
and then double that for new break in right?

There is no need for it. you used oil when you assembled the motor and you have more than enough oil at 45:1 in your fuel.

Technically it is leaner when you do that as well. Since there is less fuel to mix with the air it will run a little warmer.

it'll have less friction plus you can always tune your carb to add more fuel.

I agree. I just wanted to point out that it affected more than just lubrication.

Just dino for break-ins. The synthetics provide too much lubrication and don't allow for appropriate seating of the new parts.

I use it all the time, assembly break in and daily use. Motors look grate on the inside.

Your not supposed to use synthetic for break in .
Just like stated above it provide too much lubrication and the rings won't seat properly :haha:
