had my pump apart so i figured id give the nozzle bore a try.
went to 84.65mm took off around .070"

The bore must be straight for a siphon tube to work, if you plan on using one. It will work fine the way it is. Expect increased low speed acceleration and less pump load. I have used nozzles up to 85mm with no ill effects. A cone won't cause cavitation, that occurs in front of the impeller not behind it.

rode this weekend and i love it. i can definetly feel more thrust and acceleration, shoots through whitewash a little better. i really think my top speed has increased, though i did switch rideplates.

boring the nozzle or adding the cone hmmmmm. They both do the same thing, they let a larger volume of water out of the back end of the pump. whenever anybody asks me how adding an fscone will affect top speed, I ALWAYS TELL THEM THAT THEY WILL LOSE 1MPH OFF THE TOP END,,,,,,,, HOWEVER. By "loosening up the pump" you can allow your engine to rev a little higher than before. The extra rpm you get on the top end will usually counteract the less than efficient pump, and your top end stays the same.

I never recommend doing both at the same time, as you may induce cavitation, or blowout. cavitation doesn't just happen at the prop. put a couple big dings in a few of your pump viens and see what happens. Heck, stick a twig into your pump veins and you will cavitate..

by both at the same time do you mean ever or just without riding in between because in your instructions it definitely says that you recommend it

just interested because i installed a cone and was looking into getting the nozzle bored out

question on my nozzle (sxi pro) the siphon tube i believe is sticking into the area that i presume would bored out do you just work up to it and around it or modify it and can you explain the tapering or non tapering

some people are able to run both the nozzle and the short cone........ some cannot. It all depends on your total package. Prop Pitch, Nozzle size. HP that your motor is producing, intake grate can have an effect........
