bone stock sx650

Just got a 89 sx650 bone stock. I need from all you pros out there the best advise on what mods I need to preform on this ski without breaking the bank. I do not want to spend a lot of money on this ski as I want to buy bigger. I will give you some spec's. I'm 220lbs I noticed when I got it running and rode it that it takes a lot to get out of the water and on plane. I want to have good handling and carving abilities. If there is any other spec's I can, give let me know. Thanx in advance

Absolutely love my 650sx (current electrical gremlin aside). You will find a lot more love for the 650sx on "the other site" PWCtoday.com, here is a good thread to start with: http://www.pwctoday.com/showthread.php?t=419157
For mods, typical suggestions will be bump compression by milling the stock head, aftermarket pipe (Factory Pipe or Coffman's) or stock pipe modification, upgrade carb to Mikuni 44 or Keihin 42. Lightened flywheel. For handling and carving it is going to be tubbies, RCJS loader if you can find one, and extended rideplate.
Enjoy your ski and don't let the Yamaha purists get you down!!

Any suggestions on ride plate and prop? Bilge pump ? Bars, grips ? I'm sure all this has been talked about already I just can't find them. Newb here!
I put 4* Superjet bars on mine and it was a very big improvement for me. Grips are personal preference, most popular are probably ODI Rogue, I have some oddball grips that I love (RavX Comfy X - http://www.amazon.com/RavX-Comfy-Lo...TF8&qid=1405267005&sr=8-2&keywords=ravx+comfy ) just find what you like. Lock on grips like those above are nice for easy removal and replacement for steering repairs etc. Bilge pump is a very good idea (Rule 500) if you are going to do stabs or subs.
