Here is a video from a couple weeks ago of me try to figure out some stuff at the lake using a set up wave off an old Correct Craft. It is really tricky to find the right palce to hit the wave when you are in a wide open area with nothing for the rider or boat driver to reference from.

This is an older video you have prob seen already. It is impropperly titled.
YouTube - Pete X-2 Flatwater barrel roll

The hockey helmet gives me courage in fresh water at least....

If anyone else has boat wave footage post it up.

I don't have any footage but I did scare my self silly on Sunday.
I jumped a nice 5 foot boat(a huge cabin cruiser) wake, this was my first decent jump with footholds. Out of habit I pulled up with my legs and did an unexpected sub.
The best part was that I wasn't trying to do a sub.

i had a couple nice wake launches two days ago....it was a mix of a fishing boat wake/ a swell and some backwash off the breakwater down at the harbor..they are hard to time but fun if you hit em right....man i cant wait for some real surf

yea you gotta hit it right in the right spot, where the outside wave is almost flat but still curvy and the second wave in is the curviest. I hate it when you cavitate before launching, you lose all your momentum.

Man that is sweet.. looks like if you hit the first roller off of that boat then the wave height would havebeen enough to get you all the way around. I didn't know that you could do that on an X2. I thought they were made for the surf... I will ave to go by and see if that one at the other end of the lake is for sale. It has been sitting for years.

I like to jump the wake right behind the boat, then as soon as you land on the backside, turn back into the wake and do a roll or nose stab, like a combo trick.

the best wake to hit is the 2nd wake. period. first wake is often broken or crumbling. second wake is the biggest of the wakes that are jumpable. time it well and tap the throttle to semi jump the first wake so u land on the downside of the trough of water and gas it as soon as u land and pin all the way up the wake.
