Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong. My stab attempts all end up being inverted wrecks. I tend to do them on chest high waves and land nose first upsidown. Do I need to lean to the outside of the turn on the wave?

if it is anything like doing them on my xp, it takes a lot more muscle and fight . i get pushed back a lot by wind too on the big ski then i do on a stand up.

so i guess my point is just try to muscle it a bit

Hit the wave later, steeper. Also try keeping your feet farther back. On a nose stab you dont want to lean inward, this causes you to go inverted. What your describing sounds like the makings of a barrel roll. Try to stay centerd over the bars, as the ski makes the turn, push the nose down. Use the levarge of the bars to your advantage. Good luck. Wear a helmet! keep us posted on progress.

I say skip the stab, throw a little more oomph into the rotation, and go straight to roll.
I think that is my problem. I tried BR first. I only pancaked them but now I'm trying nose stabs also.My techneque is wrong, i'm trying to do a br with no "s" first.

Launch straight... Lean left or right and stay forward ONLY long enough to keep the nose down..... not til you roll on your head! But... I like the Roll advise!
