Just have to add...this thread is what makes this sport cooler than any other....

If you ski, or surf, or snowboard, or do motocross....your not going to get to go on a forum and bs with Travis, or Shaun, or Tanner, or Kelley...

let alone show up at a Freeride, have them give you some tips and ride their bike/skis/board. Long live stand-up Freeride.

Agreed, but not only do you get to meet them, you can RIDE with them also. In almost every other sport that's not possible, you can't ride with the pros, they're too damned fast. You can't ride MX with a pro, or snowboard or ride a sled, they'll leave you in the dust! But with surf riding you can ride right alongside of them, see their moves first hand, learn from them, and feel the stoke! Best sport ever!

the racing sports dont work out for that so well lol..but alot of freeride sports do,fmx,bmx,skating,snowboarding and such...mostly young people sports
