Black spots under my hood where carb is

I have dried black marks on the underside of my hood like the carb is spitting out fuel, not a lot just in one little area. Is this something to be concerned about? I know its normal for carbs to have a little mist come out.

I have the same soot-like marks on mine also- I just think it's a typical thing; not to worry. It's been like that for two years and my ski runs fine.

Mold....purple power cleaner will take care of that!
