OK, so far I have wired and mounted my bilge pump. I ran the wiring from the switch into the factory wiring sealed box on the back side of the primer and fuel switch using the factory grommets. I installed a 20 amp fuse in-line, saudered(sp?) the connections and hooked ground to the factory ground location inside the same box. everything works fine but my big question is...

where do I drill the hole in the side of the ski for the water to get out? I will be installing a factory pipe and want to make sure I dont drill it in a spot that I will regret shortly. anyone have a pic or two?

Thanks for helping the new guy!

I cant seem to get my pics to upload, but mine is on the rightside as high as possible and close to the bulk head. Put a loop in the water line to keep water from coming in while floating. I didnt on mine and when I hang out on it in the middle of the lake for a whole it takes on some water.

Ask a simple question and the Jack*ss has to speak up. Thanks for the help. remind me to lend you a hand next time your ski is broke or you need a tool, I will make sure to go out of my way! :)

Cdubb thanks for the help, I hope someone posts a pic or two as well.

Hey Steve,
I'm not sure how the new sj are set up, but my bilge outlet is actual where the reserve on/off switch used to be. Did away with that crap & put the outlet in it's place. Seems to work fine. Some don't like the bilge going into the tray, but I've had no problems. I don't have an internal fuel filler, so I've never had issues with gas in the engine compartment. Sorry, I don't have pics right now, but hope that helps.

Plus right now I have the second pisser line going into it..nice hot water on my cold toes in these 60 degree days:Banane01:

I have both of mine on the dash right where the fuel selector used to be and the other is where the choke was.
Some say it's bad as slime from the bilge can make your tray slippery but if you keep your shait clean you shouldn't have a problem.

This picture was taken when I was in the middle of cutting up my tray so the ski is a mess but you can see the bilge outlets on the dash.

Let me help you on how humor works:

I just used what we in the business like to call "the hyperbole". I knew I wouldn't lead you astray with a huge exaggeration of what size bit to use so I went large enough (4") to ensure you wouldn't follow the advice.

Had I known it would evoke a defensive slander, I would not have made the assumption that you understood humor.

I'll also try to get a pic of the bilge outlet on my SX-R I just installed. If you can, get a cool looking one from Blowsion.

Now if you would have ended your statement with "'ll also try to get a pic of the bilge outlet on my SX-R I just installed." I would have laughed and told you that I cant find my 4" hole saw, but I do have one for a 6"x9" hole for car stereo speakers...

Dont make me get mad and buy you a beer next time I see you! I'll do it!

how does that make it easier to fix the hole than in the side of the hull though?

I like my fuel selector, and my primer is where the choke was. ( not that it gets used)

I spill all sorts of stuff, gravel, leaves, oil, fuel into my bilge, I wouldnt want that crap on my feet.
