Bildge pump wiring

Simple: just splice the two pumps together, negative goes straight to the battery, positive gets a switch and a fuse (for sure, in a waterproof holder).

doesnt have to go to the battery. you can splice into the postive wire that goes to the ebox or i fyou are not using the tepm sensor you can cut if off at the ebox with 3 inches or so remaining, solder a wire to it than have it go to a fuse, than open up the ebox and disconnect the wires for the temp sensor and take the one you soldered and connect the part inside the ebox to the positive lead inside the box. for the negitive just take the wire from the bilge pumps and connect it to one of the two bolts that hold the ebox on. this is really confusing on this, but i just messed around with it and figured it out. i never read about this being done before, but i know i amnot the one to think of it. if you have anymore questions which you probobly will(i suck at explaining these things) i will draw something up or do a writeup. this is byfar the cleanest setup for a bilge pump i have seen.

im sure hes using a switch. hes just saying that instead of running 2 wires from the battery, just run them out of the e-box using the temp sensor wires that normally get clipped. its a cleaner setup that way because youre using existing wires that dont go from the battery all the way back to the firewall.

I gotcha. I already have the hot and cold coming out of the top of the ebox but its still not that sano.

I really wonder about the JSS switch that mounts on the inbound water line and senses water movement to turn on and off.

Two wires to the battery. This is all anyone will ever need. No crappy switches and no wierd wiring. If your scupper leaks while it's tied to a dock, no problem. It senses water and spits it out... Much faster than a 500, too. If your ski is off, no problem. I have had this bilge since 1998 with no probs.

So what your saying is cut the temp sensor off the head ? then that has a positive and neg feed and splice the bilge lines into this? Will this run when the ski is off ?
Thanks alot

only use one of the two tep sensors...you can use both but its a pain in the butt when you want to take the ebox out. put the ground to one of the mounts for the ebox

the stock sensor wires arent necessarily pos and neg. you will have to connect them to the proper locations in the e-box and install a fuse and a switch between the ebox and pumps. the point is that you can use the useless, clipped sensor cable thats just sitting the on the top of your ebox like a bump on a horses ass to power you pumps and eliminate wires going to your battery. not that wires going to your battery is so horrible.... thats what im running. its just another option.
