LBE and I have spent many hours talking about this. You DONT need a powerful motor. All of are skis can go plenty fast, so get a good run at the wave, and go faster then you think you should. Also I found hitting the wave later gets you that boost, but it also wants to make your rolls nose high, which I find dangerous because you can't spot your landing when the nose of the ski is up. When inverted you want the tail to be above the nose, so you can look up and spot your landing. Try to think about doing an overrotated nose stab. If you look at any of JK's big rolls, they start off like nose stabs. And like Eddie and Jerry said, surf stance is the only way to fly.

Oh yeah, thanks for puttin up this thread slutty. Watching the same old BR after BR gets really old, but when you can go bigger and slow down your rotation there is less forces acting against you and this opens up the door for all kinds of new variations, and allows room for some STYLE, in this very style challenged sport.

I agree, surf stance is where its at,Im practicing rolling surf stance with surf stance, but im using a highroller front foothold and its tough to stay under it,I love it for surf style, but i think a front strap would be better for rolling.Right now i need the perfect wave in clean conditions with plenty of setup time to make it,hopefully one day ill be able to BR in crapy surf, right now i just dont know how you guys do it.
