Never rode waves that big that were shorebreaks, is it shallow? I've hit bottom at the monster hole once and really didnt like that at all...

it depends you can never say oh yea it will be big then..could eb flat or it could be triple overhead generally the best months for big surf and good conditions is nov-feb but honeslty when pismo gets too big its not really good or that fun cause its just walled up...but march is generally the worst month..best chance for it to be blown out.....its fairly shallow on the inside..if you wernt riding an sxr you wouldn't be hitting the bottom nearly as much..those things are sand seeking torpedoes..lol :lmao:
but hitting bottom is the least of your worries when its a few feet overhead and draining..
but if you want to come out and charge some big waves definitely middle of january is probably your best bet..but its no joke when its sizeable out there..the nice thing about pismo is there is usally a reform section on the inside that is much smaller that you can play around in..usually has better shape anyways

Yea my first time hitting double over head scared the poop out of me for sure! Forcasted at 11-12 feet but it was a washing machine with the wind changing direction so when they hit eachother I was about like this...:scared:
Yea I was out there for the JK flip off, I was the guy who got his ass kicked trying to get farther than 100feet from shore haha

yea when the surf is clean its ALLOT easier to ride, even another ski's wake can mess you up when your dropping down the face of a big hollow wave...btw the stuff in those pics is only like what we would call 6-8ft haha...
