I use whatever the most caustic chem I have on my garage shelf is, then I go riding to flush it all out.

I use brake clreaner to remove oil residue and grime... man that ******** is sweet, it eats the ******** right off there... no scrubbing at all
just spray it off w/ water right away.. it's strong stuff
