Best way to clean inside of hull/engine?

So the guy before me must have used WD-40 or way too much corrosion block/silicon when spraying the engine down because I have a heavy coating of it all over my engine and hull. It's great as far protecting the engine, but as everyone knows it attracts dirt and ends up looking like sh*t.

Personally I think it's better to put a light coating on more often then a very thick coating on every once in a while.

Anyways is there some sort of degreaser I can spray on the engine and hull that will clean up everything very nicely. I want to get all of the old crap off and start over with some better corrosion spray and not lay it on so thick.

Thanks:biggthumpup:

I buy "Purple Power" by the 5 gallon jug every couple years and water it down. I also pull my motor every winter to clean the hull out and give it all the once over, best time to clean everything. I will admit some people (scorn800) find great joy in making fun of how much i clean things.

On couches that have seen better days inside the hull I've used a cup'o laundry detergent and filled the hull up with water (enough to not ingest anything) and drove the ski around the block or two, then opened up the drain plugs before I got home and all looked good.

Mr. Moto...

It's a cleaning agent found in motocross shops. Spray it on, wait 5 minutes, hose it off. Works awesome. A steam pressure washer will make the hull look like new...but obviously, want to be carefull if the motor is still in the hull.

MEAN GREEN!! $1 at dollar store type of place.

Also...you can plug the scupper, fill your hull with it, dish soap, degreaser, and water and drive it around for a bit then a light scrub and pump out

At least more willing to put my hands in there to make it run better if it isn't running right.
I have a theory there will be three things left after a Nuclear Apocalypse:
1. Cockroaches
2. Hotdogs
3. Two stroke exhaust sludge
