Can't say I wouldn't have been tempted to try it myself on my SJ or Blaster, but riding it 2 up was def dumb....and somehow I bet alcohol was involved. How many couchers have you seen that are that adventurous?

Is a spillway just concrete on the other side? We dont have those here that I know of.

a spillway is a dam, and is used to keep the lake at a certain "maximum" level where the term "full pond" come from. once it gets above full pond the water spills over into the river below. the river below the spillway, some are deep and some are shallow just depends on location and natural inflow. :brap:

anyone know the difference between a dam and a dike :cool2:

That happend twice up here, we have what they call low head dams on the river here and from the top, if you did'nt know I could see how you could go over, they have many signs and warnings so there is really no excuse, I ended up with one of the skis and it ripped the whole back out, pump and all. we also had some a-hole run into one from the bottom on a blaster 2, luckly none of these people got hurt bad, funny stuff

One is a cuss word and the other describes a life style ?? :dunno:

or,...... one keeps the water in while the other keeps the water out.

The way that couch slapped the water made for some painful ankles.
I'd still try it on my SJ.:splatt:

:haha: thats so great. I actually knew this guy that went to the same gym as us. He always told us about his seadoo rxp he use to get going real fast and jump the dam where we ride . He said he replaces rideplates/grates/ bottom of his ski every year, along with the tickets hed get from the water po-po. The dam is only about 3 feet high, but i wouldnt jump it.

I like how they added the buoys after the accident and only three of them for that matter. No waring signs. If that happened in Cali the sue happy lawyers would own that lake. Of course it didnt help that it was getting dark. The fact that the both held on as long as they could probably saved there lifes. Is that the same spillway the German lady went over last year and died?
