Andy, next time you come out ride my ski... LPW ported 701, ADA head with 35cc domes, modified CDI and a FPP B-pipe, OEM air box and 38mm carbs - you'll notice the difference over your ski... This winter i will lighten the flywheel and advance the timing a bit... of course that motor's going into the square nose since I think I'm going to have chuckie build me a bigger motor for the round nose

keep the stock air box... keeps more water out... my Prokks with pre filters got really wet all the time...

In which ways are they better?

It's lighter.

About stock vs aftermarket flame arrestors - certain carbs need certain aftermarket flame arrestors to perform their best.
The stock air boxes let air in from only one direction. Large throat carbs, particularly those that rely on even air flow around the entire throat perimeter will perform worse with a stock air box. (I.e, Full Spectrum, Black Jack, etc)

frosty ill have to do that. i just put a new head gasket on and a new r&d high compression head.

no more over heating :)

i need vtec on my ski :lmao:

Skill will always be greater than power. You only need moderate levels of power to do tricks. Im sure someone could even roll a stock superjet with enough practice, but it is essential that you at least get a good intake grate and prop to make the superjet better to ride.

Remember, the more engine mods you do to your ski(examples would be high compression, radical porting, crazy timing advancing), the less reliable it becomes.
