I just put a 08' impeller, blowsion pump cone, and a new intake grate on my 1990 bone stock SJ. It made a a big difference over stock, and seemed to liven up my ski a little

what pitch impeller and what intake grate ? what about the carb ? the stock carb is a 38 right ? will getting a 44 help with bottom end ?

okay so ive done some research and found that i should get a 10/18 or 9/17 solas or skat. ive also decided to pull the trigger and get a 701 61x motor to swap in. i know that the exhaust will work off my 650 motor but i dont think the intake will right ?
You'll need the 61x from carb mount to exhaust mainifold. you can use the electrics as they are the same save the rev limiter on the 6m6 CDI. To fix that you'll need to have pro-tec mode the cdi or do it yourself (there are instructions around here somewhere) or you can get an enhancer.

decided to go with the 62t motor in my dads old yamaha wave venture. went and looked at it last night and it still looks pretty clean except for the exhaust mess from the crappy riva red pipe. gonna be getting the motor out tomorrow and taking it and the ski down to my shop to start the swap. i dont want to use the riva pipe as its broken so can i use the stock exhaust from the 650 motor ?
