that carb will work you just need to fab a brkt to pull from under, and a longer throttle cable. im using the choke cable for mine i had it and just made it work with the stock thumb throttle. i can show you pics if you want to try this.

ill get some tonight, it wasnt to hard i just made a temp brkt for now and used the choke cable. i put the normal end in the carb, cut the metal ring of the stock cable put the small end through and straight to the thumb throttle. inside the throttle i used the stock pull lever and crimped the small end through it. i know this prob sounds weird but it will make sense with pics.

Exactly how my X2 compares to my friend's 650 SX!

The 38 Keihin (91- 93 X2's) and 40 Keihn (94&95 X2's) Worked great! on stock and lightly modified skis.

My old 91 650 SX worked good as well.

If the cable pulls from bottom you need a 650 SX throttle cable and throttle cable bracket are what you need. I may have one somewhere I will have to check.

im a big fan off a 44sbn on the 650 . ive put a 44sbn on a friends x2 (mariner pipe, after market water box) and it seems to go alot better than his other x2 with a 40mm cdkII ( fpp 650 pipe ) we are going to try a 46sbn soon since i have 2 laying round the garage

Not for much longer. I am moving in three weeks to Alabama.

Don't have the cable anymore, I ended up selling it on eBay. I "may" have the throttle cable bracket but it apears to be packed up. I will keep an eye ou for it when packing more stuff.
