Base Gasket Thickness

701 base gaskets what is the normal thickness and is there thinner or thicker ones? The reason I ask is because I need to deck my cylinder .020 but I want to measure the thickness of my base gasket first before I machine.

normal paper gasket will be .022 to .025 yes you can get them thinner
