Hey Jett :)

Edit:

After a little closer look you actually have really good form, just speed up, and keep that pole low.
Make sure your (more) aggressive with the bars.
Something else that may sound a little funny is put your chin on the shoulder your rolling into.
It'll help your overall form.
Its something that I noticed a long time ago with some of the Pro riders that weren't getting clean rolls.
They fully commit, and go balls out, but....didn't turn the bars.

For everyone who loses there roll.......first thing to check ..........turn the bars.

I forgot!
heres a video of me and steve from last summer. at about 2:00 mark steve rips a pretty clean flatwater roll. it was like one of his first. Horsepower helps once you learn to control the power. since then he cut his hull shorter and has been just getting bigger and bigger while his hull cracks and gets beat on more and more (smitty's hami-down hull) Also steve basically only knows one trick, the barrel roll. We both fall down alot still and he wipes out alot just turning but he rips some nice flatwater rolls

I am thinking about tying my pole down with a big fat rope. I need to see some pics of geek's form. He rips em around.

Gentlemen, rule # 2 on rolls is to get the pole on the hood! Pat pretty much covered rule # 1 (turn the bars 'till they hit the stop). The muscles that are the most sore after I do rolls are my abs and my hamstrings. When I get airborne, I pull up on the footholds HARD! I try to pull the boat up to the pole, and stick it on the hood.

What if you want a level roll. It seems pulling the ski up too much w/ the holds will put you in a nose down landing position? Just askin, I am definateley gonna try it but your pic shows you nose down. Sweet hieght bro:hail:

I do think that Geeks advise would help you alot as your landing AZZ 1st  Mine are level but not enough rotation, I think Pats advise is gonna glinch it for me this w/e, I gotta focus more on cranking the bars harder, I am trying to pull it around w/ the pole I think.

for those who want to roll and can't stab. skip stabs for this reason.

I learned that you have to let the ski do the roll for you. Practice the "S" turn
and spot your wave. Once in the crest of the wave, crank the handlebars , pin the throttle and tuck in .

BTW, can we start a critique thread on flatwater backflipping :brap: I feel quite retarted with that one!:splatt::splatt:

I keep trying what Glory keeps telling me "look back right and spot your landing while upside down" I think he is right and it will complete the rotation and make them much easier to ride out of, but I cant make myself look back right My brain wont let it happen.

Spot my landing? My eyes are usually shut because I'm anticipating the
"human intake grate".

Here's a video I put together tonight of me trying some rolls two days ago.
Keep in mind this is on a STOCK superjet (well, it has footholds, shortened pole, x-metal steering) but is a stock engine. I'm sure more :brap: would help, but I figure if I pull them off with a stocker, when I get more
brap, I will be unbelievable. :cool2:

Like most of you, I know exactly what I'm doing wrong. I think my setup is good, my pre-hop is good, my takeoff is good (pole on the hood), but then my body goes WAY to the right, and the pole comes off the hood mid-roll and
I practically stand up, so it turns into a stab or just a flop.
