Back on Crutches!!! Again!!

well.. those of you who know my past, know that crutches are not new to me.
Back in 1999 ( my last year racing standups) i injured my knee. Doctors said that i minorly tore the cartiledge in my joint of my right knee and i might need surgery down the road but at the moment would be okay. At the time i dealt with the pain and finished racing the season with a sore knee every time i rode. since then i have had moments of my knee popping then popping back into place. This would happen from stretching to standing from a sitting position. yesterday morning while getting ready for work my knee gave out completely and i fell over. It would not pop back into place and was painful as all hell. Doctor said i fully reopened the tear in my knee. I have an MRI scheduled in a few days and most likely will have orhtoscopic surgery to cut out the damaged cartiledge. Should be about a month of recovery after that.

Good luck to anyone who gets my place at the freeride comp this coming weekend

That sucks man.......I though I messed my knee up pretty bad b/c it popped and then kept wanting to buckle backwards on me. Doc checked it out and luckily no "bad" damage was apparent and it did not bother me since. He schedlued me for a MRI but my insurance would not cover it fully so I canceled the appointment.

If they have PT for you to do stick to it religously. My dad had knee replacement surgery and slacked off, now he cannot bend it all the way.............dumb ass

sicki- I'm sorry to here the news. I heard about it from jerry today at 11am when we got done riding. You know i just got ACL surgery about 8 mos. ago. I was riding within 2 weeks after. Ryan Johnson made me a custom brace to help stabililty. Call me and I can give you doctors, advice, etc.
