John says it works with the stock hose so, yes and yes based on personal experience. I have aftermarket pipe and i use this style outlet and blockoff.

What you need to decide is if you want to delete your waterbox from the engine bay eventually. 1100/1200 triples in a blaster may REQUIRE exhaust outlet to mount on the starboard side. This allows a waterbox to mount inside the cavity under the stock battery box. It requires fiberglass work, a curved hose, and a desire for uneccessary mods. I only did it bc i thought i would need the flow for an eventually 1100 but i just rock a 701/148pump/msd enhancer.

Yes, will work with stock hose, stock exhaust, will not affect any water coming in any different than original outlet, (remember, the original outlet is just around the corner in the pump tunnel) You may notice a small change in your exhaust note, but it should not make it much louder on a stock ski.

Yes, Im building a Waveblaster II 1200 conversion. The engine and exhaust system are out of a 98 XL1200 and the rear exhaust hose has a 3.25" ID
