Im about to make my own B-Stock rails out of a sheet and i'm stuck on wraping them up underneath or just stoppping at the bottom and trimming anyone have any advice? I know if i wrap them and dont stick them good enough its gonna probably give me some weird water spray. help im looking for advice. also thinking about just putting them on up to where the oem nose guard will over lap instead of trying to make my own template for the nose i can amagine thats a pain in the ass. i need to see some pics thanks.

Do not wrap them cut at a 45 degree after they are installed but if you want to do yourself a favor don't turf the entire rail just put a 24" strip on top of the rail where you may need it.

well I was thnking of that as well but im really doing it to cover up the holes in the side of the rail from the :):):):)ty oem plastic rail. so i need to get the sides but i like the 45 idea just i guess if i do it that way i really need to do a good cement job so that :):):):) doesnt peel becasue i can imagine that it would eaisly if it scrapes anything.

If I were to do it all again, I would follow Mark's advice, and not cover the whole shebang. It's gonna peel and get torn, etc. Sure it looks killer when you first do it, but it doesn't take long before it looks like ass.

I broke it so thats no longer an option I think im just going to marine-tex the holes and put some turf on the top of the rails.

if you dont fill the holes first with epoxy and micro beads it will blow the turf right off the rails..

not maybe, not in a year....couple of good rides max and your new rails will be SHREDDED

if you fill the holes the rail turf will last forever (or at least as long as the epoxy in the holes lasts ;) )

then trim them at a 45' angle like Mark said...that will keep it from peeling at the edges and yes, it does make a difference.

make sure to use a a shtiload of DAP, and a rubber mallet to tap the turf down to the rails

.02 from someone who has been there done that, and had to redo it

I actualy filled them with fiberglass and sealant from the inside, I have to do it again on my other SN and this time I will actualy be using Hydroturf for the angled part and underlayer I used padding on that one and it seems little to squishe
