b pipe manifold

is it just me or are the top two middle bolts on manifold a bitch to tighten up i noticed my manifold was leaking slightly so striped it down cleaned it put a new gasket on AND I JUST CAN NOT TIGHTEN THE TOP TWO MIDDLE ONES ENOUGH:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: :banghead: so its still leaking a bit more now imo :banghead::banghead::banghead:
is there any special way you guys tighten up yours

Could the threads on the suspect bolts holes be stripped? :dunno: Just a suggestion.

its a wicked pita.you can only tighten them maybe 1/16th of a turn at a time.be patient and just keep fliping the wrench.you can grind the wrench and the manifold for a little more clearance too but dont expect a miracle.

I did the same for removing the carbs off my old R & D dual 44mm intake manifold. It was impossible without rigging something up.

Install the exhaust gasket with those two bolts pre-mounted because the b-pipe manifold has a cutout for those bolts. Then find an old 12mm open end wrench and grind the outer edges for more clearance. Secure those two bolts snug before tightening the rest of them to the manifold.

well tried grinding a 13mm (mine are 13s) open ended wrench and it didnt work dammit probably ground to much off as it wouldnt grip it:banghead: try another tomorrow as i can hear couple of pints calling me:woot: you can see the water clearly come from the bolt area and i can only assume its through it not being tight enough
any ways going to run it like it sunday as i can not be arsed to drain the tank to remove the tank to get the chamber out to get at the manifold:banghead:
