three 500gph pumps would move the same water, for 33% of the cost?

just a pain to fit that third pump in huh?

how would I buy 3 500gph for $30 .show me where and I'll be em unless they are made buy Rule (you can keep em )

I got 4 atwood @ 750 gph for $87 shipped That's $22 a piece and is less than I paid for my Rule 500's

for real.. i'm just in shock still.. that stupid boat defies everything we've learned about freestyle/freeriding.. no b-pipe, no f/a's, no bilges... i'm afraid to mess with it!

what would you do if you had this thing? would you change it all up?
:dunno:

Don't F*@& with it!! I'm running a stock pipe, carb and flame arrestor. I changed my head to a higher compression head with a stock head gasket and lightened my flywheel. really the only motor mods and it doesn't miss a beat. There may be some motors with a lot more power, but I only take my hood off to add gas, and it is great!! Something to be said for reliability. I know the temtation, but I strongly advise against.

Walmart sells the 500gph Attwoods for 10'ish.

Aha I see now .I thought mouth did his math wrong but I see that's not the case .Still I would need 6 500's to move the same as 4 750's so it would have been $65 ish and then install 6 bilge pumps instead of 4 .then buy additional hardware which costs more because you need hose and bilge fittings which is another $12 for 10 ft of hose and about $12 each for the fittings .
so 6 -500's and hose and fittings comes to about $100 +:cool2:

Anyways 2 is better than 3 and if someone had said Walmart had atwoods for around $10 I probably would have gone that route but I wouldn't have bought 3 for each ski .
2 each is good . I'm happy with what I got and I have some rule 500 gph for sale now:biggthumpup:

.....

I picked up 4 attwood 500's at Wal-Mart last year for $5 each during their end of summer clearance. I just put 2 of them in about 2 weeks ago, junked the Rule, & they work perfect. I didn't have to remove anything from the pump like some have said to make them fit under the coupler shroud.

$9.9x at wal mart, all day long.

:haha:

But I didnt see that you had 4 of the 750gph.
thats damn nearly ridiculous!
fix the leaks?

I feel over bilged with 2 500gph pumps, but its mostly for back up, in case one goes out.
they pump hard as hell after the ski is in the water, then after about 30 seconds are done.

You don't read well .2 for my SJ and 2 for my Blaster

blah... silly details.

did you read where I said that 2- 500 gph pumps with a leaky old square nose empty the hull in a matter of seconds?

the point is the same, How much bilge is enough?

98% of the time they are running they are running dry already?!!

whatever, so you can now use more battery, and spend more money , to empty the hull in 19 seconds instead of the 24 seconds that the 500gph would do it??

I like my $10 wally world pumps...

What you guys dont understand is that Mouthfulloflake only has bilge pumps to get the ice melt out of the bottom of his hulls. He has a case of natty lite and a bag of ice in each of his squares when he rides.

Also, I was hoping someone else liked the atwoods. I have 3 500gph atwoods sitting around and was nervous about installing them if they were just going to die withing a few months. I think I'll put one in my white ski. Right now it has 1 good rule 500 and one dead rule 500.

To each his own man .I've spent $7000 on my boat so a little dryer is worth it to me and what's another $43 anyways when you've spent $7000 already .
Like I said before too no one told me Walmart had em for $10 until I already ordered the 750's.

I know how long it takes 2 rule 500 gph's to empty the hull and it's not as quick as I would like .if they run for 24 seconds like you said and that's 4 more waves I just hit while the hull is full of water .Now it will be only 3 :banghead:

Yup. Two 500's running full blast still take a while to clear the hull.

That's why my 2-1/2 inch one way is king.
